One of the most important and often over looked jobs of a successful webmaster, is letting the world know about a new site. And if you are a blog owner, you want to let the world know about a new post you just added to your blog. I hate this job!
Gaining backlinks to your site, no doubt is one of the most important jobs a good webmaster will do each and every day. Search engines love good backlinks and will reward you handsomly if you provide good quality content and high quality backlinks.
Until now, I have manually submitted my sites to 20 of the most important bookmarking sites and then made sure Google, yahoo and MSN could find them.
The job is a pain in the bum, but it has to be done. Socialmarker.com makes the job a little easier, but I wanted a service that did it all automatically for me. (I am lazy by nature).
2 months ago I went searching on Google, using the search term "bookmarking plugin for wordpress". I got about 10 results and checked each one out until I found Auto Social Poster from Mass Automation. This guy has developed a Wordpress Plugin that will submit my new posts automaticaly to up to 34 major Bookmarking sites for me. All I have to do is make a new post, add some tags and click Publish! It’s all done behind the scenes automatically. No more manual submissions for me.
Like I said, I have been using Auto Social Poster for around 2 months. The traffic to my site has gone up by 37% and my Page Rank has gone from a 2/10 to a 3/10. Now, you could attribute that to a number of factors. But I know that this new plugin has saved me at least 12 hours per week and probably earnt me 4 times more than I paid for it.

I came across Gobala Krishnan’s site about using Wordpress to build content-rich Adsense websites easily. This claim sounded familiar as I have been making the same claim for quite a while, but this bloke had already put the system together in an easy to implement process. In fact, he claims that Wordpress is the future of online publishing.
Wordpress is a free blogging platform, similar to Blogger or Blogspot, except that it can be hosted on your own domain, and has tons of other features that Blogger doesn’t. I always thought that blogs are… well… blogs! But according to Gobala, you can actually make Wordpress look like a regular niche website.
I have been making commercial websites for a dozen or so commercial clients using the Wordpress platform and it is the easiest script to implement for your clients and you can even set it up so that they can maintain it themselves.
In fact, you can also get indexed in search engines faster than ever before, using "tagging" and "social bookmarking" aspect.
